Cancellation & Appointment Policy

Last updated: 1 August 2026

At Uffizi Hair Gallery, we dedicate each appointment exclusively to you. Our stylists prepare in advance, and your time in the chair is carefully planned to ensure the best possible result. We understand that plans sometimes change, and we will always do our best to accommodate you.

To allow us to maintain the high standards our clients have come to expect — and to ensure fairness to our team and other clients — we ask that you give us as much notice as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule.

Cancellation & Rescheduling Notice

The notice we require depends on the type of appointment booked. This is because longer or more complex services require dedicated preparation time and cannot easily be filled at short notice.

How to Cancel or Reschedule

You can cancel or reschedule your appointment in any of the following ways:

  • Call us on 020 7924 3400
  • Email us at info@uffizi.co.uk
  • Manage your booking online via our booking portal

Our salon is open Tuesday to Saturday. If you need to cancel outside of opening hours, please leave a voicemail or send an email and we will confirm receipt as soon as we open. Cancellations are recorded from the time we receive them.

Late Cancellations & Non-Arrivals

We know that emergencies and unexpected circumstances happen, and we will always consider each situation individually and with care. However, as a small independent salon, late cancellations and missed appointments have a real impact on our team and on other clients waiting for appointments.

The following may apply where insufficient notice is given:

  • A cancellation charge of up to 50% of the booked service value may be applied
  • For missed appointments (no-shows) with no contact, a charge of up to 100% of the booked service value may apply
  • Clients with a pattern of late cancellations or non-arrivals may be asked to pay a deposit to secure future bookings

Deposits

All online bookings require either 50% or 100% payment upfront — the customer may choose which option to pay.

New clients booking by telephone will need to pay a minimum 50% deposit. This will be clearly communicated during the booking process and is deducted from the total cost of your service on the day.

Deposits are refundable if the appointment is cancelled within sufficient notice.

Bridal & Wedding Bookings

We understand how important your wedding day is, and we take bridal bookings extremely seriously. Because of the bespoke nature of bridal services and the planning involved, the following conditions apply:

Booking confirmation

A non-refundable deposit is required to secure all bridal bookings, including trials and wedding day appointments. The deposit amount will be agreed at the time of booking and is deducted from the total on the day.

Cancellation notice for bridal bookings

  • Cancellations made more than 2 weeks before the wedding date booking: 100% of deposit refunded
  • Cancellations made within 2 weeks of the wedding date: 50% of the total agreed booking value

We strongly recommend wedding insurance that covers hair and beauty cancellations, as unforeseen circumstances can arise for any booking.

Patch Tests & Colour Appointments

For the safety of all our clients, a patch test is required at least 48 hours before any colour appointment. This is a legal requirement under health and safety legislation and applies to all clients, including those who have had colour services with us before, if:

  • More than 6 months have passed since their last colour service with Uffizi
  • They have experienced any significant health changes, new medication, pregnancy, or illness since their last appointment
  • A different colour product or brand is being used

If a valid patch test is not in place, we regret that we will be unable to proceed with any colour service on the day. In this instance, the appointment will be treated as a late cancellation and the policy above will apply.

Please contact us on 020 7924 3400 or info@uffizi.co.uk if you are unsure whether your patch test is current. We are always happy to advise.

Arriving Late

We ask all clients to arrive approximately 5–10 minutes before their scheduled appointment time. This allows us to settle you in, offer refreshments, and ensure your stylist can dedicate their full attention to you from the start.

If you are running late, please let us know as soon as possible by calling 020 7924 3400. We will always do our best to accommodate you; however, if your delay significantly affects your stylist's schedule, we may need to adjust your service or reschedule your appointment. We appreciate your understanding.

Where an appointment needs to be shortened due to late arrival, the full-service price remains applicable.

Service Satisfaction

Your satisfaction is at the heart of everything we do at Uffizi. If for any reason you are not completely happy with your service, please let us know before leaving the salon. We will always do our very best to address any concerns at the time.

We are unable to offer refunds for services that have been completed as discussed and agreed during your consultation. However, if you feel your result does not reflect what was agreed, please contact us within 48 hours of your appointment and we will arrange a review appointment at no additional charge.

How to Reach Us

If you need to make any changes to your appointment, or if you have any questions about this policy, please don't hesitate to get in touch. We are always happy to help.
